If I were a merchant, and I had the chance to buy a ship with my friends, and sail to the Indies for spice trade. I would get rich, and the my friends and I would get to share all of the money with them. There are dangers going with it, our ship could sink, or our ship could be lost. If I had to I would take up this offer really fast. I would risk it, because I would rather die, or be rich than live a mediocre life for my entire life. It would also be pretty fun to sail.
When I would take sail with my friends, I would try as hard as I could to not have my ship get lost, I would use maps, and whatever I could to to stay on trail. It would be fun to work nights with my friends. Also, I would take as much spices as I could carry and when I got back, I would be living the good life.

Last week, I had an algebra lesson that was new. I was absent the day we learned it also. That really messed me up, because everyday, we learned something new, and I didn't understand anything the whole week. We also had a quiz, and I new I wouldn't do well. I got my grade back today, and it wasn't good. I got one out of five right, and that is an F. Luckily, I can retake it tomorrow morning.
Today, I did the problems that I got wrong, and I finally understood how to do the problems. The only problem is we are learning another new thing, so I might be behind unless I retake it tomorrow morning. I think I will finish it well. If I don't, I probably won't have an A in the class anymore. I need to get straight A's.

Today is Friday, and I am going to talk about something completely random. Vampires. They are so in now a days and I have no idea why. I think it is because if Twilight the movie, but mostly teen girls like it. I specifically think the Harry Potter movies are a lot better, but many trends break out in America, some are good, and some are bad. I would say that this trend is bad, and I am hoping it ends soon.
Now that the Hunger Games has come out, that is starting to trend also, but I think that book/movie is a lot better. I read the book, and watched the movie and it was very great. Movies are a lot different than the books though. I noticed many different things while watching the movie, so I couldn't really believe which one was true. Usually it is the books, but in that way, it would be more boring. The movie was better than the book because there was more action.

Would I rather be an Aztec, Inca, or Maya? I would for sure be a Mayan. The Mayans made many new technologies during their time. They were the first to use, and make a 365 day calender. They were very religious, and they learned how to plant. After trying out a lot of seeds, they finally knew what to mainly plant. They planted maize (corn), and made many things out of it like tortillas or drinks.
I wouldn't like to be an Inca, or an Aztec, because they sacrificed humans, and their hearts and they also had to blood-let which I couldn't do against my will. They played a sport like soccer which I would like to play, but the losers suffered a penalty, death. Another reason I would like to be a Mayan, is because of the tortillas, and other corn foods. I really like corn, and its even better the different ways they make it. The only thing I probably wouldn't drink is the corn drink.

The trip to the zoo was yesterday, and I had a really good time. There were ups and downs along the whole trip, but overall it was one of the best field trips I had ever been to. The good part was that we had fun, and we also got to learn about animals. The bad part was that we had to answer  problems on all of the exhibits which really was tiring but now it was worth it because I at least know a little bit about a lot of different animals.
The bad parts were that we had to all squeeze into buses, and walk for about five hours. My back started to hurt after a while, and it was a great time when we had a break to eat. The food there was great, and the slushies were legendary. I would recommend the seventh grade teachers to do this again next year for the incoming seventh graders. Out of nowhere, I found out that we are going to wild waters in June.

Today is Civil War day for the eighth graders, the actors looked really serious about it. It also looked fun, and they get to miss about half of the school day. On Monday, I am going to the zoo with all the other seventh graders. In the next two school days, the eighth graders are having civil war day, and we are going to the zoo.
Also, another time in the next month, we are going to wild waters. I am looking forward to wild waters, and I have gone there many times. I turned in a big project for Science today, and I feel like a huge lift has been lifted from my shoulders. Now I just have to maintain straight A's, and I will be done with this school year and go into eighth grade. Next year, I am thinking of doing Leadership instead of what I did this year.

Today I am supposed to write about the most embarrassing moment I had in my life is. I can't really recall what it is, so I am just typing while I am thinking. Now I remember, but I can't tell anyone the first one because it is way too embarrassing. One of the most embarrassing moments of my life was when I used a fruit smelling lotion because I liked the smell. I noticed it was way too strong and I was made fun of at basketball practice for the rest of the season or winter.
Another embarrassing moment I had was the time I didn't understand an easy project in Algebra, and it was a group project. I let my neighbors do most of the work, and when we had to do the project, every table was good, and getting about ninety percent or higher. When we went up, I knew we wouldn't do good, and we ended up with a C.

One thing I do to rest my mind is listen to music. I listen to music, and sit down, and take a load off. This makes me think about other stuff. I listen to music at least once a weekend, and before I have a sport game to calm myself down. For baseball, I know that good hitters hit three out of ten times, so after I listen to music to pump me up, I listen to slower music because I know I will get many tries.
Another thing I do to rest my mind is read, I go to my room and lay on my bed and read. It calms me down, and it is good for me, and I could also put it on my reading log. The only bad thing about reading is, I don't want to stop reading and I spend too much time reading a book. Most of the time when I am not tired I read myself to sleep. Sometimes it works, and I get sleepy, but other times I keep reading until it is too late.

Today in First period, in art, we were introduced to an edible art project, and I am looking forward to it. Also, I got extra credit by bringing in recycables for the eighth period class. In second period, I had a Quiz, and I actually got an A on it for once. Now I am maintaining straight A's for the first time this quarter. I am hopefully going to have them for the rest of the year.
Next period in Science, I don't know what we are going to do, and its the same thing in Core. In Spanish, we will probably not have homework, and I will have fun in there. Eighth period is P.E. and I heard we are playing mushball ( A game like softball, but using a big mushball) It is one of my favorite games we've played yet.

There are many theories about why the Maya collapsed. I believe in many theories, and that not just one theory could end the Maya civilization. The theory that I believe the best is the fact that they didn't have enough land to grow crops anymore, or there were too many people for their land, and they got overpopulated.
If the Maya had some hunters, and some planters, they would be more consistent with their food. Also if they used a better way to plant, they would always have land. They used a burn and crop method, and after a few uses in the same spot, they can't use it anymore. Also, if they extended their empire, they would have more land to plant their main crops such as maize, and cotton, and potatoes.
